An Open Letter to President Obama-Address Wrongful Convictions

Republicans in Congress have been vocal on perceived injustices by the criminal justice system when it has related to individuals that they have identified with, individuals such as former Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.. Their sentence was commuted. This is what happens when Congress and the media take stand on an issue. Imagine what could happen if you, Mr. President, said “Enough, we are not going to continue to tolerate innocent men and women being wrongfully convicted and, in some cases, put to death. That is not who we should be as Americans.”
